MAK Christmas Memorial 2022

NAVE, Enzo   -  (Retired 32-year employee of General Motors Canada.)

Peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday November 9th, 2022, at the age of 81.

Loving Husband of Maria.

Beloved father of Roberto, and Anna (David) Nave – Rotella.

Cherished Nonno of Evan and Gia. Dear Brother of Aurelio (Petrina), the late Angelo (Olga), Antonio (Lena), and Teresa (The late Giovanni). Brother-in-law of the late Tommaso (the late Linda) and Enzo (Antonietta).

He will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends. Enzo worked for many years as a mechanic in his fully equipped home garage fixing cars for friends and family.

He loved the accordion and enjoyed polkas and traditional Italian music. In fact, the Polka King, Walter Ostanek played at Enzo and Maria’s 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration. His love for his wife, 2 children, his 2 grandchildren, and his entire family was evident in his smile and his laughter when he was in their presence.

He spent the final years of his life valiantly battling his illness with his incredible caregiver, his wife, Maria Teresa, always by his side.

A special thank you to the many PSW’s and Dr. McAllister for their care and compassion during this difficult time.

Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive in Oshawa, on Monday November 14th from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday November 15th at 10:30am at St. Mary of The People Catholic Church in Oshawa.  Entombment will follow in Whitby.

If desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.
