John passed away peacefully on November 9th, 2022, just two days after his 86th birthday.
Beloved husband of Nancy Anne (nee Short) of 61 years, his absolute and dearest friend.
Loving “Dad”, “Pop”, and “Pops” to Chris (Sharon), Sandy (Peter), Geoff (Cathy), and Julie (Ben).
Much loved Grampa of Abbey, Cerys, Hannah, Jessica, Max, Raina, and Sam. Great Grampa of Preston John. John was very thankful for his close friendships with Barry Cook, Bruce Gill, and Bob Laughton.
Visitation will be held at Mount Lawn Funeral Home and Cemetery, 21 Garrard Rd. Whitby, ON on Sunday, November 20th, 2022 from 1pm-4pm. A chapel service will be held on Monday, November 21, 2022 at 11am.
John held many prominent positions in life, but believed his true calling from God was providing comfort care to cancer patients at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for twenty years.
In memory of John, he would like you to reach out to someone special you have lost contact with and show acts of kindness to those in need.
John will be truly missed by all who knew him.
