ELLIS, Pauline Jean (nee Bennett)  Ellis  -  Of Oshawa, Ontario, breathed her last on November 13, 2022 in her 96th year after a very short illness, and only a few days after celebrating her birthday with friends and family.

Pauline Jean Bennett was born in London, England and met the love of her life, Ivan Ellis during WWII when they both served their country.

Pauline worked in the Woolwich Arsenal while Ivan served England in the Merchant Navy.

They married in 1946 shortly after WWII ended.

They emigrated in 1953 to build a wonderful life in Canada for their six children, Jean, Christine, Janet (Les), Pauline (Bob), John and Robert.

For the past seven years after losing her husband of 69 years, she has lived a full life in her own apartment in Oshawa, with frequent visits from her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Mom will be sorely missed by the family she has left behind.

Her loving children will cherish memories of a wonderful life in Canada that Mom and Dad made possible. Grandma will also be sorely missed by her adoring grandchildren, Michelle (Fred), Samantha (Neil), Adam (Erin), Daniel (Lex), Andrew (Jenny) and Rebecca, as well as her great-grandchildren, Charity, Aiden, Nathaniel, Sloan, Benjamin, Cooper and Nolan.

Grandma was always so much fun, and she got the nickname “Bake Grandma”. She will also be missed by her dearly beloved budgie, Timmy.

Friends and family are invited to gather at Morris Funeral Chapel for a service on Friday November 18th at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Salvation Army, an organization that Pauline has long supported.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Lakeridge Health, Oshawa, for their tender care and support during Pauline’s short stay.
