LAZZARO, Mollica Giovanni Lazzaro - It is with a heavy heart to announce the passing of Giovanni Lazzaro in Whitby ON, on November 19th, 2022.
He fought hard in his final moments, at the age of 87, and in the presence of his family, showed the strength that we will all always admire.
Giovanni Mollica Lazzaro was born on February 22nd, 1935, to his parents Antonino, and Giovanna.
Beloved husband the love of his life Maria. In this time, Loving father of , Antonino ( Angela) and Frances Lazzaro. Cherished Nonno of his grandchildren Jacob and Sophia.
Dear brother of Antonio (the late Jutta). Predeceased by his brother Antonino and sister Anna Maria (Enrico).
Special thank you to the staff in the Emergency, ICU and of Lakeridge Health Ajax for their compassion, care, and kindness during this difficult time.
Visitation for Giovanni will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive in Oshawa, on Thursday November 24th from 3:30pm to 7:30pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church Brooklin on Friday November 25th at 1:30 pm. Entombment will follow in Whitby.
If desired, memorial donations in lieu of flowers to the Princess Margaret Cancer Society, or the Canadian National (CNIB).
