Willan WilliamWILLAN, William “Bill” Willan   -  Passed away peacefully in his 81st year on December 7, 2022 at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa.

Beloved husband of 53 years to Kathleen.

Loving father of Kevin (Maria Luisa) and Brian Willan.

Proud grandfather of Nicholas and Matthew Willan.

Brother of Barbara (Richard) Green.

Brother-in-law to Patricia (Fred) Samborsky, Betty (Edmund) Gosse and Shirley (Gerald) Lafleur.

Predeceased by his loving parents, Walter and Theresa Willan.

Bill was a beloved family man with an outgoing and giving personality.

Through his life, Bill had a history of giving back to his community; whether to the Boy Scouts of Canada in Montreal’s Southshore or to local sports in Oshawa as a coach and executive board member for his Neighbourhood Association and the OCCNA.

Bill transitioned to umpiring softball at a local level after his time as a coach had ended.

After retiring from the ball diamond, Bill moved to the role he cherished most - as Grampa.

The Willan family extends their gratitude and appreciation to the Doctors, Nurses & in home support team affiliated to Lakeridge Health Oshawa for their care of Bill over the past 24 months.

With heartfelt thanks to the many family and friends who have extended their expressions of condolences and fond memories of him.

Private funeral service entrusted to McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558).

Family and friends who wish to honour Bill’s life can make donations to Melly’s Workplace Charitable Organization (Whitby) supporting those with special needs.

Online condolences may be shared at makfuneralhome.com .
