BUCKLES, Ethel May Buckles - JULY 26, 1926 – JANUARY 7, 2023
Peacefully passed at Royal Vitoria Hospital, Barrie on January 7th 2023 at the age of 96.
Predeceased by her beloved husband James Buckles and her partner Wilf Comfort.
Loving mother of Patricia Martzokas, Donald Buckles, Richard Buckles and Susan Evans.
Grandmother to David Marzokas, Jenny Corbett, Jason Buckles, Lindsay Atwell, Jordy Buckles, Kendra Marson, Ashley Evans and Ryan Evans. Great-grandmother to Noah, Hanna, Emma, Daphanie, Anna, Cameron, Mohamad, Mia, Finn, Fergus, Immy, Maeve, Sloan and Scott.
Ethel was a long term employee of the Royal Bank of Canada, working full time and raising four children. Her love and dedication to family was always her first priority.
In the words of a family friend “she was a very interesting and unique woman”.
Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West on Wednesday January 11th from 12:30 pm until service time in the chapel at 1:30 pm Entombment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie in Ethel’s name would be appreciated.
