LOUGHRY, Christopher Patrick   -   February 18, 1943 - January 3, 2023

 

Christopher passed away in his 80th year, at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa.

 

In his final days, Chris was comforted and cared for by his children and siblings. 

 

Loving Father of Chris Jr., Charlene, Craig and daughter-in-law, Krystal; and survived by their mother, Nancy "Carol" Clement.

Devoted Grandpa to Corey and Reese Morrow, Keegan Loughry, and Kayla and McKenna Harnum; beloved brother of Mary Ann Knowlton, Patricia Leeson, Margaret Laurano, Michael Loughry and Jo-Ann Howland; and brother-in-law of Gary Lusby and Philip Howland.

 

Chris was predeceased by his parents, John and Joanne (née Vandeloo) Loughry; sister, Helen Loughry; brother, Edward Loughry; brothers-in-law, Robert Knowlton and Roger Laurano; sisters-in-law, Nancy Loughry and Cathy Loughry; and nephew, David Laurano.

 

Uncle Chris will also be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Chris had a successful career as an Accountant at Consumers Gas.

 

A lifelong learner, avid reader and enthusiastic sports follower, he also enjoyed his curling and sailing days.

 

In the past few years, Chris faced many health challenges and the family thanks those friends who always kept in touch with him. In accordance with Chris' wishes, services will be private.
