 Clark JackCLARK, Jack Robert  -  January 7, 1933 -  January 23, 2023

 

Jack passed away peacefully at home on Monday January 23, 2023, surrounded by his family, after a long and courageous battle with Dementia.

 

Beloved husband of Joan, his cherished soulmate, for 50 years.

 

Dear father of Susan (Ted), Sam, Jack (Linda), Shelley (Paul), Terry Thertell (Donna) and the late Terry Severin Clark.

 

Lovingly remembered by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

 

Jack was predeceased by his parents Lew & Emily Clark and brothers Gordon & Wilfred (Bill).

 

Among his many accomplishments, Jack was a proud member of AA Friendship Group for 56 years; recipient of the Arn Green Award with the John Howard Society Life Member, O’Neill Collegiate Life Service Award, Past Chairman of Pinewood Treatment Centre – 8 years, Past President of Victorian Order of Nurses – 6 years with 19 years on the board, Past Chairman of Alano Club – 12 years, Coach of Provincial Women’s Softball, also Shamrock Girls All Stars – 14 years, and  Top Truck Salesman for Ford of Canada (Drew Ford, Ajax) 2 years running.

 

Visitation will be held at  ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME , 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Friday January 27th from 4pm to 7pm.  Funeral Service will be held at Armstrong Funeral Home on Saturday January 28th a 1pm followed by interment at  MOUNT LAWN CEMETERY, Whitby. 

 

Donations in memory of Jack to the Alzheimer’s Society of Durham would be appreciated by the family.
