Moulton VioletMOULTON, Violet Ellen (nee Waterhouse) Moulton  -
November 12, 1926 – February 17, 2023

Passed away quietly and peacefully with her two daughters by her side. Vi was the loving wife and best friend to Harold for almost 74 years.

Cherished and beloved mother to Carolyn (Dennis) DeSimone and Cathy (Jeff) Hewett.

Loving and very special Nana to Danielle (Dan) Stewart, Brianna MacLeish, Courtney (Chris) Spence and Casey Hewett.

She will be missed by her great grandchildren Rylie and Jayden Stewart, and Adeline and William Spence and has been reunited with great-grandson Tyler Cardis.

Violet was born and raised in Ingersoll, Ontario. She and Harold moved to Lindsay then to Sunderland in 1958 where they raised their two daughters. Vi was very involved alongside her husband in events and activities hosted by the Sunderland Lions Club where she developed many lifelong friendships.

Vi loved the water and enjoyed getting up early at their cottage in the summer for a refreshing swim before heading to work as a bookkeeper for the Township of Brock in their Sunderland office.

Following her retirement in 1988, Vi and Harold spent many winters in Lakeland, Florida where they were often visited by their daughters and grandchildren. Spending time with family was always the centre of Vi’s life and she loved her family more than anything.

Vi was predeceased by her parents Lambert and Minnie Waterhouse, sisters Vera Dunbar and Jean Kean and her brothers Rob and Harold Waterhouse.

One of many challenges Violet faced later in life was blindness resulting from macular degeneration and glaucoma.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Vi’s memory to Fighting Blindness Canada would be appreciated.
