JERVIS, Edward Wilfred   -

1942 – 2023

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Edward Wilfred Jervis, on March 15, 2023, after a long battle with cancer, where he showed great intestinal fortitude.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Susan Jill; and his 3 children, Michael, Jeffrey (Shannon), and Lisa (David). He was also a proud grandfather of 5 including: Jasmin, Parker, Carsyn, Olivia and Madeline.

He was predeceased by his parents, Wilfred Hamilton Jervis and Dorothea Julia Jervis (nee Treadgold). Ed, Uncle Eddie, Dad, and Grandpa was a modest and humble man, the ultimate giver, who never put himself on centre stage, always thinking to support those around him first. He enjoyed a successful working career with two great organizations in Ford and Enbridge, where he was a dedicated and loyal employee for over 40 years.

Ed was fond of the game of hockey, which he played from a young boy until the age of 75, and always had an investigative and organized mind as he opened himself up to many passions including automotive mechanics, computer technology, history and many other interests.

However, his devotion to his family is what he will be most remembered by. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Funeral arrangements will be a private graveside service for immediate family only at Mount Lawn Funeral Home &  MOUNT LAWN CEMETERY in Whitby, on March 23rd, at 2 p.m.
