HICKS, Ken  -  Passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.

Ken was the loving husband of the late Betty Hicks, and the wonderful father of Denise and Jason (Krista).

He was the loving grandfather of Avery, Keegan, Cameron, Cole, Alexander, and Pierson. Dear brother of the late Edith Metcalf, the late Bill Hicks, and Don Hicks.

Brother-in-law of George Valentine, Ron and Bill Stezik and Marlene Bahry. Ken will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews and their families.

Ken was a very talented waterfowl carver, and his skills will be admired forever in the works of art he created.

Ken was an enthusiastic supporter of his grandchildren’s many sporting events and instilled in them his love for nature and fishing.

The family would like to express their thank you and gratitude for the care Ken received from the oncology and palliative care doctors at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.

Arrangements with Mount Lawn Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
