Staley RonaldSTALEY, Ronald (Ron) Lee Staley  – It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Ronald (Ron) Lee Staley, age 74, on April 9th, 2023 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa with his daughters by his side.

Even in the hospital during his last day, he continued with his endless sense of humour, bringing smiles and laughter to his daughters and nurses and doctors.

For over the past 20 years, Ron was the devoted and loving husband to his wife, Carole and together they created many happy memories.

He shared with her his love of golf, and vintage cars and he even has her watching NASCAR!

Ron was a very proud, loving, dad to his four children.

He will be forever loved by his daughters, Nikki (Ryan), Julie, Tanya, and is now reunited with his son, Shawn, where they will be able to cheer on the Leafs, together again. He will be remembered always by the mother of his children, Sue.

Ron was a proud grandpa to Logan, Regan, Nathan, Layne, Derah, Tyler, Jacob, and great grandpa to Sansa. Ron is predeceased by his parents, Myrtle (Lee) and George Staley. He was a cherished brother to Darrell (Judy), Rob (Robin), Laura, predeceased by Joyce, Brad and Donna.

Ron was loved and will be profoundly missed by Carole’s children, Derek, Pam, Anne-Marie and Michael (predeceased). He will also be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, and many other extended family and friends.

Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and Diabetes Canada and may be made, along with condolences by visiting  armstrongfh.ca .

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
