Hoskin WinstonHOSKIN, Winston Fredrick Percy Hoskin -

AUGUST 28, 1941 – MAY 2, 2023

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Winston Fredrick Percy Hoskin.

He was born in 1941 on August 28th. Son of the Late Percy M. and Catherine I. Hoskin.

Brother to the late C. Dayle Hoskin and Marie G. Robinson.

For those who knew or were close to Winston (Fred), understood he was a troubled man who led a difficult life, fraught with adversity and coupled with mental illness.

Despite this, he was known for his humor, wit, and strong work ethic as well as always trying to do what was right.  When he could, Winston found peace and solace as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Part of his legacy will be that he was a catalyst for better mental health.  He is survived by his wife Estrellita, children James and Victoria, as well as his grand children Joshua, Madelyn, Abigail, Xavier and Elizabeth. His best self will live on through them.

His family appreciates all of your prayers and kind gestures during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Ontario Shores Foundation for Mental Health or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Online condolences may be made at oshawafuneralhome.com .
