1929 - 2023
With his daughters by his side, Dick passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville just 7 days after celebrating his 94th birthday.
Beloved husband of the late Ruth Wood (nee Ashton).
Loving father of Donna (the late Dale) Newman, Shirley Ladd and Barry (Sherry) Wood.
He will be lovingly remembered by his 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Dear brother of Keith (the late Helen), Ralph, Boyd (the late Doreen) and Norah Hetherington (the late Paul) and predeceased by sisters in law Helen Graham and Wilma Scott.
He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and many friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday June 24th from 1 – 4 pm at TRINITY UNITED CHURCH, 116 Church Street, Words of Remembrance will be shared at 1:30 pm. Private interment. Arrangements with Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bowmanville Memorial Hospital Foundation
