Cornelia (Corry) Van Schyndel was born June 4, 1930 in Gemert Holland, she passed away May 18, 2023 in Ontario Canada.

Post WWII Corry immigrated from Holland with most of her family to Canada.

There she met and married the love of her life Theo (Ted) Van Schyndel.

They went on to raise a loving family, and enjoyed a beautiful simple, happy life together.

Corry was a loving Wife, Mother, Oma, and Great Grandmother. She was also a talented seamstress.

She was fond of baking for her family, she enjoyed gardening, and relished playing cards with friends and family. Corry loved hockey and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Corry is predeceased by her husband Theo (2001). She is survived by 3 children Tony (Debbie), Terry (Lyn), Connie (Steve), as well as 6 Grandchildren Sarah (Bobby), Colin (Andrea), Adam (Kylie), Katrina (John), Jacob, Nathan.

Corry was blessed to have 7 Great Grandchildren Leah, Jaxon, Lucas, Hailey, Clara, Leo, Brooklyn, with another Great Grandson due in August.  Corry is also predeceased by her parents Chris & Maria Jagers as well as siblings Francis, Trudy, Harry, Joanne, John, and Mary.

She is survived by her sister Willy.  In 2004, Corry suffered a catastrophic stroke.

She bravely fought the complications of her stroke for almost 19 years, showing us her strength, resilience, and love for her family.

Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Sunday June 4th from 12:30 p.m. until time of Memorial Service in the chapel at 1:30 p.m.
