PATRICK, Kathleen (neé Dempsie) Patrick  -

September 25, 1939 to June 3, 2023

Kathleen was born September 25, 1939 in Lennoxtown, Scotland to parents William and Elizabeth Dempsie (neé  McGavigan.)

She was the eighth of nine children.

She is predeceased by her brother Hugh, and her sisters Margaret, Mary, Cecilia, and Betty, and is survived by her sisters Anne and Ellen, and her brother John.

Kathy was the beloved wife of Tom and they had recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.

Kathy is missed by children Allan (predeceased) (Barb), John (Shelley), Colin, Craig, and Annette.

Grandchildren Melissa, Ryan (Becky), Kaitlin (Howard), Jennifer, Jordyn (Michael), Sarah, Kelly (Jeff), Reagan (Aidan), Brooke (Adam), Ellis, and Claire (Devin). Great grandchildren Scarlett, Avery, and Benjamin.

Our Mum was our hero. In 1970, at just 31 years old, she embarked on a transatlantic journey by herself, with five children.

She brought us to Canada to be with our Dad who had come ahead to prepare a home for us.

We are aware of and appreciate the sacrifices she made for us.

She’s no awa’ to bide awa’.
