It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Edwin McLelland.

After a lengthy illness, Ed passed away on Sunday, October 29th, 2017 at the age of 65.

Ed is survived by his beloved wife Alyson and daughter Lesley. He will be deeply missed by his mother Mildred and brother Leonard (sister-in-law Amelia.)

Uncle to Kyla Corrado (John), Keegan McLelland, Nicola Williams (Craig) and their son Leo. Brother-in-law to Joselyn Adams and Blair Adams.

A long time resident of Durham Region, Dr. McLelland practiced medicine at the Glazier Medical Centre for 37 years.

His passion for patient care and administration were what led him to the position of Medical Director from 2001 until his retirement in 2016.

In addition to his dedication to his family, Eddie was known for his love of travel, golf, cycling and photography, and relished every opportunity to bring these together.

Deepest gratitude to the outstanding care from Dr.’s Li, Zalewski and Graham, the Compassionate staff of 4F, and nurses Paulette, Kelly and Corinne.

A visitation will take place at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME , 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Sunday, November 5th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Family and friends are invited to attend a service in celebration of Ed's life at the Oshawa Funeral Home on Monday, November 6th at 11a.m.
