Conway DavidCONWAY, David Christopher  - (June 23rd, 1935 – December 11th, 2017)

With heavy hearts, the family of David Christopher Conway, in his 83rd year, announce his passing, after a short battle with cancer, late on Monday, December 11th, 2017.

He passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side.

Beloved husband of Margaret (Brown) for 61 years. Loving father of Margie Skanes (Anthony), Steven (Kim), and Laurie Lefcourt (Michael).

Exceptional grandfather of Tyler, Jason, Brenna, Shannon, Aubrey, Ryan, Jack, Cameron and Miranda.

Survived by his sister Maye Conway and friend Diana Richardson; brother-in-law Mark Brown and sister-in-law Joan Brady (Jim).

David was a former Oshawa Regional Councillor.He devoted his life to volunteering in organizations, some of which included Whitby Girls Softball Association, Horses Help Canada, G.A., and helping to raise money for Meagan’s Walk.  

Next to his family, his passion was being on the ball diamond.

Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Wednesday, December 20th from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m.

Funeral Service to be held in the Chapel on Thursday, December 21st at 11:00 a.m.

Memorial donations to Meagan’s Walk – Pediatric Brain Tumor Research (SickKids Hospital) in honour of Team Jack or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
