Ernest (Ernie) passed away at QHC Trenton Memorial Hospital on Tuesday December 12, 2017, at the age of 82.

Loving husband of Vera (nee Horner) for 59 years.  Wonderful father to Brenda (West Hale), James and Shawn.

Kind and loving grandfather to Jeremy (and his wife Jessica), Joshua (and his wife Esther), James, Julia and Jessica.

Adoring great-grandfather to Bethany, Abigail, Daxton, Skyeler, Calum, Ashton and Penelope.  Brother of Donald (wife Theresa) and Karl (wife Eileen).

Ernie will be fondly remembered as a loyal, honourable, reliable, determined, loving gentleman, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and husband.

Family and Friends are encouraged to attend a Celebration of Ernie’s Life at the BARNES MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 5295 Thickson Road North, Whitby on Sunday, January 21st from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.

In Ernie’s memory, “Tribute Gifts” to the Parkinson’s Foundation (parkinson.org) would be greatly appreciated.
