BARKER, Murray Thomas – passed away at Markham-Stouffville Hospital on the morning of Tuesday, December 19, 2017.
His children Philip and Dorothy and nephew Alfred were at his bedside.
He is predeceased by his cherished wife Barbara.
Loving father of Phillip (Catharine) Barker and their children Alex and Selina; Dorothy McDowall and her son Connor.
With a passion for young people and their education, Murray taught high school in Blenheim and North York. After retirement he continued to supply teach in Orillia for many years.
He will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Mangan Funeral Home, Beaverton on Friday, December 22 from 7 – 9 pm and on Saturday December 23 from 10 am followed by funeral service at 11 am. The family invites you to join them for a reception after at the Royal Canadian Legion, 517 Mara Road, Beaverton.
If so desired memorial donations in memory of Murray to support Cancer Research, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
