MARTINS, Alberto Fernando - Very early on Christmas Eve 2017, Alberto was taken to the emergency room where he was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure and although it was touch and go for 12 hours, he rallied back as he always has.
He was strong, witty and chatty and we looked forward to having him come home soon.
On the morning of the 27th, after a hearty breakfast and a cardiogram, he experienced some slight discomfort and within a few minutes, his heart just gently and painlessly stopped and he left us in dignity and peace at the Ajax-Pickering Hospital on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 in his 87th year.
Beloved husband of Bella for 63 years. Loving father of Brenda (Michael) and Audrey /Marina. The proud Gramps of Strouchan, David, Mathew, Daniel, Kevin, Jason and Christine.
Fondly remembered by his niece and nephews Jonathan, Lorelei and Gerard.
Visitation will be held at the McEachnie Funeral Home, Ajax, on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated from ST. FRANCIS DE SALES ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH (1001 Ravenscroft Rd., Ajax) on Wednesday, January 3rd at 10:30 am.
