VANDERWAL, Jan “John”  - December 23, 1934 – February 16, 2018

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Vanderwal on Friday, February 16, 2018 in his 84th year.

Beloved husband of Anna (nee Vliek) for 58 years.

Much loved father of Mary Anne Orav (Robert), Ron (Joan) and Steven (Wendy).

Cherished grandfather of Ashley and Kyle Vanderwal, Lauren and Catherine Orav and Ryan and Greg Blanchet.

Brother of Cecil (Donna), Margaret Hayward (Lorne), Thea Keating (Al) and Mike (Cathy).

Predeceased by brothers Evert (Annie), Lou (Leonie) and sister Mattie (Kent Hammond).

Brother in law of Gary Vliek (Pat), Bill Vliek (Brenda) and the late Fred (June).

A memorial service will be held at the Low and Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge, on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 11am, with visitation for one hour prior. A reception will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of John may be made to the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital, the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity important to you.
