D'HONDT, Ronald Peter, P. Eng.,   - November 5, 1945 - March 21, 2018

Passed away suddenly after a brief illness.

Ron leaves his beloved family: spouse Judith, son Aaron (Debra), daughter Johanna (David) and grandchildren Chloe, Owen and Ava.

Ron is survived by siblings James (Ruta), Marilyn (Chuck) and Raymond (Ginnie) and by many nieces and nephews and their children.

He was predeceased by his parents John and Mary (Pelisek) D'Hondt.

After graduating in 1969 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Ron enjoyed a fine career in management and consulting.

He loved photography, bluegrass music, gardening and bird watching. Ron was awesome! He was a gentle man whose humour, patience and generosity with his affections made him a wonderful husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather and friend.

The family would like to thank Dr. A. Hansen and Staff at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre; Dr. U. Emmenegger and Staff at The Odette and the Nursing and Medical Staff at Scarborough Centenary Hospital.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 11th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at St. Dunstan of Canterbury Anglican Church, 56 Lawson Road, Scarborough.

Funeral service will be held at the church on Thursday, April 12th, at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to the Canadian Wildlife Federation, or to St. Dunstan of Canterbury Anglican Church.
