Delhaise CatherineDELHAISE, Catherine Madeleinenee Lefebvre - (Feb. 15, 1936 – April 15, 2018)

Catherine passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on Sunday April 15th, 2018, at the age of 82.

She has now gone on her last voyage, to find her new home in Heaven.

Catherine is lovingly missed by her husband Jim, her children Paul (Susan), Veronique (Will) and Olivier, her grandchildren André and Alain, her brothers and sisters Marie-Anne (Pierre), Philippe (Monique), Monique (Philippe), Jean-Pierre (Rosanne), and Marie-Claire (Bernard), and a large number of cousins, nieces, nephews from her family in France and Belgium. She is also missed by so many friends and children whose lives she touched and influenced.

Catherine was born in Lille, France and first came to Canada in 1958, where she met and married Jim. For several years she worked as a Nursery School teacher, until she discovered her true passion as an artist. As an Honorary Life Member of the Oshawa Art Association, she was very active in the local arts.

With her husband, Catherine volunteered with Meals-on-Wheels for over 20 years and was also very active with the Probus club in Oshawa, where she was a charter member, and through this organization, she made many more friends.

She was honoured by Msgr. Ambrosic withan award for her outstanding work on behalf of Share Life.

Visitation will be held at ST GREGORY THE GREAT CATHOLIC CHURCH (194 Simcoe St. N, Oshawa) on Friday April 20that 10:30 followed by aMass of Christian Burialat noon. Cremation has already taken place.

In lieu of flowers, Catherine would have wishedthat donations be made to the Society of St Vincent de Paul – St Gregory’s Parish for the care of the poor.
