WALTERS, Helen “Lois” (nee McGrandle)  -

Born September 23, 1927, in High River, Alberta.  Died on April 18, 2018, in Uxbridge, Ontario, in her 90th year.

Beloved wife of over 65 years to Ernest “Raymond” Walters, artist and retired President of Art and Design Studies, ADS Film Productions and the Merton Gallery in Toronto for over 35 years.

Summer cottager in Ingoldsby, Ontario, for over 60 years. Loving mother of Kevin, Cameron (Janice) and Christopher (Randy).

Proud grandmother to Peter (Jessica). Also survived by dear sister Marian Poole of Pickering and sister-in-law Inge Walters of Peterborough. Predeceased by brothers Powell and Dick McGrandle (Millie), and sister Dorothy Deane (Robert).  She was the daughter of Mae (nee Higginson) and William J. McGrandle and grew up in Winnipeg and Toronto.

She was Auntie Lois to many nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to the many area nurses and helpers who provided care in her last year which allowed her to watch the seasons change through her own picture windows. 

Family and friends will be received at the Low and Low Funeral Home, on Saturday, May 26, 2018, from 12 p.m. until the time of service in the chapel at 1:30 p.m. Reception to follow. Interment at a later date.
