MAINSE, Hollis Roy - With great sadness we announce the passing of our cherished husband, father and grandfather, Hollis Roy Mainse who was in his 90thyear.
He died peacefully on April 24th, 2018 holding hands with his loving wife Jean.
He will remain in the hearts of his devoted children Brad, John (Christine) and Holly (Brad) and his cherished grandchildren Chase (Paola), Jenna-Lee (Jonathan), Kyle and Cassidy.
He is fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. He is survived by his sister Dorothy Heys and predeceased by his brother Allen Mainse and sister Norma Morton.
Hollis was an inspiration to all who knew him. His legacy of dedication, commitment, manners and helping others without missing a beat will be carried on through his children and grandchildren. His many acts of kindness will be remembered.
The celebration of Hollis’s life will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME , 847 King St. W., Oshawa (905-721-1234) on Saturday, May 12th with visitation from 12:00 noon until time of Service in the Chapel at 1:00 pm. Officiated by The Reverend Canon Judy Herron-Graham.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or St. George’s Memorial Anglican Church, or the IODE Golden Jubilee Chapter would be appreciated.
The family would like to thank the incredible and loving staff at Hillsdale Estates (Pine Ridge) for the last two and a half years in their care of Hollis.
