WOODS, Marran Diane  - In the late evening on May 22, 2018, Marran Woods (née Funk) passed away after suffering complications of the heart brought on by a pre-existing condition of amyloidosis.

Her husband of 38 years, Glenn, was able to be with her when she passed.

Marran leaves behind three children; Tori (Drew), Drew (Steph) and Alexa (Jamie), five grandchildren; Charlie and Finnegan McCarthy, and Caden, Kara and Ethan Steffensmeier, her sister Gail Bailey (Funk), and Jack the Wonder Dog.

She was predeceased by her parents Henry and Allison Funk (Allen), and her sister Jan Odegard (Funk).

Marran’s passing was sudden and unanticipated. She was a beautiful mother to her children and spent as much time as she could with her grandchildren. Marran will forever be remembered for her nurturing ways, her love of travel and books, and her creativity.

She had an infallible eagerness for unique experiences like riding her motorcycle, scuba diving, and speeding around the track in a Formula One–style race car. But above all, she was known to be fiercely loyal to those she loved.

Marran was fortunate to see much of the world, volunteering to teach English in Cambodia and visiting friends all over the globe—but she was always happiest at home surrounded by her family.

There will be no funeral service, but the family will hold a small gathering at their cottage to remember a most magnificent wife, mother and friend.
