With heavy hearts and great sadness we mourn the loss of Peter. He passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Wednesday, May 30th, 2018 in his 90th year.

Beloved husband of Qurina Antonia Vromans for 66 years.

Dear brother to sisters Tonny Van Gaal of the Netherlands, Carolien Blankestyn and her husband John, sister-in-law Corrie Slits of the Netherlands, Greta van Mil of Toronto.

Uncle Peter will be dearly missed by all his nieces, nephews and their families in Canada, the Netherlands and England.

Peter was born in Gemert, Netherlands, he served in the Air Force for 3 years, immigrated to Canada in 1953, married on May 27th, 1953 and settled in Oshawa where he started working at General Motors in the Tool & Die.

Peter was a great machinist and retired from GM at the age of 60 to pursue his great love of travel, sailing, music and painting.

A Celebration of Peter’s Lifewill be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Thursday, June 7th from 2 – 5:00 p.m.

Memorial donations to Heart and Stoke Foundation would be appreciated.
