Vaughan GaryVAUGHAN, Gary Edward  - (Retired employee of GM and EDS)  Born 1937 at home, in Oshawa.

After many years of ill health due to diabetes, Gary passed away peacefully at the Wynfield on Sunday, June 3rd, 2018.

He was the much loved husband of Barbara (Daynard) for 58 years and loved by daughter Tracy and her husband Edward Greig, and son Robert Vaughan.

Gary was the only child of Watson (Skip) (2003) and Marjorie Vaughan (1994).

He will be remembered warmly by extended family and friends. Gary’s main love after family and friends was a lifetime of sports particularly basketball.

Gary started playing at Simcoe Hall as a young boy and continued until he turned 65 and retired from the Monday Knights Basketball group and as a high school basketball referee.

Gary transferred his interest in the Raptors and Jays to his friends. He was often known to have a heated discussion following most games! Gary had such loyalty from one friend and his family in particular and Gary’s family is so grateful for their kindness.

Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, Oshawa (905-721-1234) on Wednesday, June 6th, from 12:00 p.m. with Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Thornton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Canadian Diabetes Association or Lakeridge Health Foundation - Dialysis Unit would be appreciated.

Online condolences may be made at
