JOHNSTON, Elizabeth McMillan (nee McCallum) - Longtime Employee in the Dietary Department at Bowmanville Memorial Hospital.
Born to Ronald McCallum & Elizabeth Barrowman in Motherwell, Scotland on December 27, 1924, Betty passed away peacefully at Wynfield Long Term Care on Monday June 4th, 2018.
Betty was the beloved Scottish War bride of the late Richard Augustus “Gus” Johnston, whom she married in 1943.
Betty & their young son joined Gus in Canada in 1946, he predeceased her in 2006.
She is survived by their only son, Ronald & his wife Lois, her grandchildren Katie & Joel Haeusler, Richard & Kimberley Johnston and Robert & Donna Johnston, as well as her great-grandchildren Pepper Lily, Josie, Paris, Stella, Ivy Rose and Sienna, all of whom live in Australia.
She will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
A Private Family Service will be held at Dunsford Cemetery at a later date.
