Dufoe PercyDUFOE, Percy  - Passed away peacefully at Thornton View Nursing Home Oshawa, with his family by his side June 7th, 2018, at the age of 82 years.

He was predeceased by his Mother Hazel Sweezey, Stepfather Everette Sweezey, Father Oliver Dufoe, Brothers Darwin, Dalton and Oliver.

Percy worked for the CPR rail in his teens and is a member of the Iron Workers Union Local #721. Born and raised in Chalk River.

He will be sadly missed by his Wife Mary (Bissonette) of 60 years. And by his Children Kerry Smith, (Tyler) of Pembroke, Darwin Dufoe (Judy) Cambridge, Kevin Dufoe (Anne) Oshawa, Michael Dufoe (Sandra) Mattawa.

He leaves behind a legacy of 6 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. He leaves behind Siblings Dolores Casselman of Mattawa; Gretta Saunders (Tom), of Simcoe; Walter Dufoe (Charlene) of Pembroke, Sharon Dufoe of Ottawa, Jo-Anne Rafuse (Donnie) of Simcoe. Many friends and relatives.

A special, heartfelt thank you to all the staff who took such loving care of Percy. You were outstanding. He loved you back!

Percy will be missed by all.

A celebration of life will be held to honour a man who gave his best to life, family and friends. Please join us for a Celebration of Life Reception gathering to be held at COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL 1587 Highway #2, Courtice (905-432-8484) on Saturday June 16th from 2 – 5p.m.  Words of Remembrance will be held at 2:30 p.m.

Donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or to the Salvation Army.
