Passed away peacefully on July 8, 2018 with his family by his side.
Beloved Husband of Trudy (April 2017).
Loving Mother of Marian, Margaret (Mark Bond), John (Irene), Stella (Mark Sheridan), Brian (Cheryl), Karen (Mike Gardner) and Paul (Liz). Cherished Opa to 17 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren.
Survived by Brother Wim in the Netherlands. John was a Veteran of WWII and immigrated with Trudy to Canada in 1954. He worked at Hillsdale Manor and then was employed by General Motors for 21 years.
Dad was a quiet man that loved the outdoors. He enjoyed reading by his fish pond, working in the garden, taking and developing photos and was a fantastic artist. We will miss you Dad...say hi to Mom and send our love.

John's life will be celebrated with a Mass held on July 13th at 11 a.m. with visitation held one hour prior at ST. GREGORY THE GREAT ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 214 Simcoe St. N., Oshawa. Burial to follow. Reception held at Mary of the People, 570 Marion Ave., Oshawa.
Memorial donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer Society.
