MORGAN, Elizabeth (Bette) Ellen (nee BARBOUR) - Bette passed away on January 3, 2021, at age 90, from complications associated with cancer.
Bette will be deeply missed by her daughter Kerry (Randy) and her stepchildren, Julie (Marilyn) and Keith (Mary). Bette was predeceased by her beloved husband Peter in April, 2020.
They had forty wonderful years together. A Florida condo, trips to England, and Caribbean cruises made for a happy retirement.
Bette was a strong, independent woman, who loved to read, learn, walk, hand-craft, and serve her community.
Bette took university courses by correspondence as she crisscrossed the country and began a family during her marriage with Bill Proctor. She completed her formal education as a Library Technician through Ryerson College and managed the law library for the Ministry of Consumer Affairs in downtown Toronto until her retirement.
She nurtured lifelong relationships with friends, especially Mary Anne Wilburn, Betty Brooker, and the Jarvis Group. We will love her always and cherish her memory forever in our hearts.
A celebration of her life will be held at a time when all those who loved her can gather together in person.
In lieu of flowers, her family would appreciate donations to the Red Cross or Canadian Blood Services, with whom she volunteered for many years.
