FRACCHIONI, Ernesto Fracchioni Obituary

FRACCHIONI, Ernesto  – (May 12, 1925 – October 26, 2015)

With profound sadness, we announce the death of Ernesto Fracchioni at the age of 90 on Monday, October 26, 2015.

Ernesto died peacefully, attended by his beloved wife of 50 years, Letizia, and surrounded by his four devoted children and their families: Milena Weldon, husband Michael and daughter Anna; John Fracchioni and his two sons Christofer and Nicolaus; Roberta Reed, husband Darren and children Sofia and Ryan; and Roberto Fracchioni, wife Janine and son Oliviero.

Ernesto’s brothers, Romano Fracchioni of Beamsville, Franco Fracchioni of Pecorara, Italy, and the late Pinetto Fracchioni, and his many nieces and nephews provided great joy to Ernesto throughout his life and much comfort in his last days.

Ernesto was born in Case Fracchioni, Italy on May 12, 1925. At the age of 18, he became a Partigiano in the Second World War, protecting his family and fighting for his country against the Axis powers.

He moved to Canada in 1950 and settled in Beamsville, Niagara where he started a successful construction company with his family. Gathering his family around him was the most important thing in the world to Ernesto and he leaves this world a very blessed man.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 28th from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00- 9:00pm at the Vineland Chapel of Tallman Funeral Homes, 3277 King St., Vineland, Ontario.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 29th at 10:00 am at St. Helen’s Church, 4157 Maple Grove Rd. Vineland.  Rite of committal in Beamsville.

In memory of Ernesto and in grateful appreciation for the exceptional care given to him, the family would welcome donations to McNally House in Grimsby.
