Edward was a dear grandfather to Scott, Melissa, Melanie (Bill), James, Amanda, Madison, Paige, Connor, Ryan, Trevor, and Ashley, and a cherished great-grandfather to Elaena. He is survived by his sister, Dorothy, and was a beloved brother to his late siblings, Della, John, and Marion.
Edward always found a way to make those around him laugh, bringing smiles to everyone he met. A hardworking and dedicated manager for the City of North York, Edward was known for his customer-centric attitude and always made time for his family despite his responsibilities.
A devout member of St. Leo The Great Catholic Church, Edward served as a fourth-degree knight with the Knights of Columbus. His faith was a guiding light throughout his life.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Edward may be made to Melanoma Canada through Barnes Funeral Home.
