Ian Hubert Tietze (March 20, 1971-January 26, 2025) passed away unexpectedly at Lakeridge Health Centre, Oshawa, Ontario, due to complications arising from a stroke on December 15, 2024.
Survived by his parents, Doris and Peter; sister Arlene and husband Michael, his nieces Taylor and Meaghan. Other family includes his uncle Neil and aunt Gayle and their families, his aunt Glenis and uncle Lionel and their families. Recognizing lifelong friend Ron, fellow manager and friend Jimmy, fellow associates Alysha (and her parents), Carla, and many other friends and colleagues who loved Ian.
Ian worked at Canadian Tire for over 35 years; many of the latter years as manager of Sporting Goods and Seasonal.
He was also known as "Relic" or "The Gentle Giant" and was a huge fan of the Star Wars franchise and a die-hard Leafs fan. "Don’t tell me the score, I have it recorded at home!" was his greeting for anyone phoning him on a game day. He had a green thumb and enjoyed puttering in his garden, especially tending his red pepper plants.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Paul's United Church, 65 Kings Crescent, Ajax, on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 2 pm (it is an accessible facility, use the ramp off the west parking lot). Refreshments will be served
immediately after the service.

Dave was the devoted husband of 45 years to Christine (née Mawby). Their enduring love was a source of strength and joy throughout their life together. Roisin Spinello passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, January 9, 2025. She was a devoted wife to Ray, a loving mom to Kyle, and a cherished Nana to Jaxon and Hudson. It is with a sad heart that George passed away peacefully at Ajax Hospital in his 92nd year. Predeceased by his wife, Marie, to whom he was married for 36 years (1958-1994). Recently predeceased by his close companion, Cynthia Hunter (1996-2024).
George was born in Toronto. He was a person of many hats (jobs) over the years. George lived life on his own terms, doing what he wanted with no regrets.
He leaves behind his two sons, Jerome and Vincent, and six grandchildren: Jessica, Shawn, Holly, Cory, Nathan, and Brandon. Additionally, he is survived by six great-grandchildren: Bishop, Sterling, Hadley, Sawyer, Waylon, and Hyde.

It is with immense sadness and love that we honour the life of Father Daniel Palillo, a devoted Reverend to the many parishes he served. Father Dan passed away on December 25, 2024, at the age of 92. His life was a beacon of faith, love, and service, touching countless lives in the Philippines and Canada throughout his 69 years of ministry.
Born on April 10, 1932, in Lucena, Quezon, Father Dan was the beloved brother of Felicidad, Lourdes, Remedios, Rosario, Rodolfo, Ely, Enrico, and Alberto. He was a cherished uncle to his nieces in Canada—Floralyn, Mildred, Maribel, Marivic, and Lynn Marie—and nephews Eric and Allen. He was also a loving great-uncle to Andrew, Elijah, Matthew, Miles, Alex, Kassidy, Juliana, Isabella, Nicola, and a proud great-granduncle to Gannon, Falynn, Makenna, Clara, and Evelynn.
Father Dan will be remembered for his love, kindness, gentleness, generosity, and unwavering faith. He shared his beautiful voice and inspiring songs with all who knew him, leaving an indelible mark of warmth and devotion. His legacy will continue to inspire his family, parishioners, and friends.
