With profound sadness, we share the passing of Mahesh Ram—a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and cherished friend. Mahesh’s life was a testament to kindness and joy, as he touched the hearts of everyone he encountered.

A source of unwavering warmth, he was always ready with a listening ear and a compassionate heart. His love for the outdoors and passion for cars were only surpassed by his deep love for his children and his beloved grandson.

Mahesh is lovingly remembered by his children, Victor Ram and Stephanie Ram, his daughter-in-law Cindy Ram, and his cherished grandson, Dominic Leon Ram. He is also survived by his siblings Mayee, Jairam, Chrishna, Bhola, and Kamla, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and a close-knit community of friends who will continue to honor his legacy through kindness and love.

We will be celebrating the life of Mahesh at Ajax Crematorium and Visitation Center. Visitation will take place on Friday, January 31st, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, followed by funeral services on Saturday, February 1st, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. RAMPERSAD, Carmen Katekee Rampersad

December 2nd, 1944 - January 31st, 2025

Carmen Katekee Rampersad (née Sharma) passed away peacefully at 80 years of age after a short but ferocious battle with Cancer on January 31, 2025, in her home city of Oshawa.

Carmen was born on December 2, 1944, in Nohar Trace, Trinidad and Tobago, to parents Lutchmin Sharma (née Persad) and Ramnarine Sharma. Carmen was a devoted mother to her children and a beloved Gran to her grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, friends, and other family members she was Gran to. Carmen was a cherished sister to her 11 siblings.

Carmen is predeceased by her parents, Lutchmin and Ramnarine, husband Boysie, and siblings Boboy, Baldath, and Christine. Carmen is survived by her children, Brian ('adopted daughter' Lee), Diane (Ray), and Ian, her grandchildren Caitlyn, Jaden, Jonathon, Calista, Chaya, and Ivana, her great granddaughter Arya, her sisters Mamin, Molly, Shirley, Rose, Jenny, Ramdaye, Leela, and Sheila, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Carmen was a strong, dedicated, courageous, and loving woman of God. She filled our hearts with so much love and care that will forever be remembered and forever be missed. We were so blessed to know her and hold peace knowing she is in His hands.

Funeral arrangements will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday February 4, 2025, at Ajax Crematorium and Visitation Centre, 384 Finley Avenue, Ajax, Ontario. The family welcomes all who wish to pay their respects to join our family in saying Goodbye.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Durham Regional Cancer Centre at Lakeridge Health Oshawa Hospital. Our family would like to extend our gratitude to the dedicated team at the DRCC and Palliative Care Unit in providing the best care during her time at the hospital.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Vijay Kumar Tanotra on Sunday, November 24th, 2024. Vijay will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and dedication to his family and friends.

Passed peacefully on November 23rd, 2024

Lloyd William Das passed peacefully in his sleep on November 23rd, 2024. Son of Albert and Doris Das of Peter’s Hall, Guyana, Lloyd was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle to many who loved him. He is survived by his wife, Susan, and his children, Brian and Victoria.

A visitation will be hosted at the Ajax Crematorium & Visitation Centre, 384 Finley Avenue, Ajax, Ontario, on Friday, November 29th, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.

The memorial service and cremation will take place on Saturday, November 30th, 2024, from 11:00am to 1:00pm, followed by a brief reception from 1:00pm to 2:00pm.
