Frederick Charles Stewart passed away suddenly at home on December 20, 2024, in his 68th year. Admired and loving husband, or ‘Pumpkin,’ of Suzanne Jones.
Treasured father of Fred (Lauren), Jillian, Tyler (Jessica), and Shelby. The most devoted and silliest Grandpa to Kenzington, Harlowe, and Riley.
Loved brother of Vicki (John) Maloney, Kelly (Donna) Stewart, Darren (Paula) Savage, and Carrie (Gord) Savage.
Cherished by his nieces and nephews: Christa (Paul) Hammock, Jason Maloney, Tim (Nikki) Maloney, Courtney (Calvin) Allore, Kelsi Coulter, Jessie Fox, Brooklyn, and Madison Savage.
Predeceased by his parents, Fred and Helen “Honey” Stewart, and niece Shannon (Justin) Cassidy, who, with great certainty, greeted him with a cold beer in hand.
Greatly missed by all members of the biggest, craziest family: the Stewarts, Joneses, and Savages.
Remembered fondly by fellow Legion buddies, hockey comrades, Horn Trip County clan, Crowe Lake crew, and AVCO/Citi veterans.
Frederick had a great affinity for believing the Leafs would win another cup, his love for Molson Canadian (in a bottle ONLY),
his dream of being at the helm of his pontoon boat cruising the Crowe, and his endless shenanigans with the squirrels.
Special thanks to the Port Hope Police Service, Emergency Medical Service, and Melissa at Allison Funeral Home for their professional, compassionate services.
Details of a celebration of life will be shared in the new year.

Charlotte Kathleen Schumacher Majic passed away peacefully, on her own terms, in the Palliative Care Unit at Northumberland Hills Health Center. She was 76 years old and leaves behind a legacy of love, commitment, and passion for education, social causes, and her family.
Charlotte is survived by her husband of 52 years, Samuel, her three children, Samantha (John Rasmussen), Charles (Kathrin), and Elizabeth (Peter Repetto), and her beloved grandchildren, Anna and Samuel. Born on February 22, 1948, in Halliday, North Dakota, Charlotte was the ninth of twelve siblings, raised on a cattle and dairy farm, which instilled in her a strong work ethic that defined her life.
After earning a degree in education from the University of North Dakota, she married Sam and settled in Port Hope, Ontario, where she built a remarkable career in education. As a high school teacher and principal, Charlotte pioneered reading programs and cooperative education initiatives, earning a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Toronto along the way.
Charlotte was deeply committed to numerous social and political causes. She was an active member of the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation, Retired Teachers of Ontario, and Democrats Abroad. Her boundless energy extended to knocking on thousands of doors for the Liberal Party and participating in various groups like the Canadian Association of University Women, book clubs, and political discussion circles.
Charlotte loved to travel, garden, renovate her home, thrift shop, and sew. She treasured good coffee and pastries, and although she disliked cooking, her love of shared meals and moments brought people together.
In Charlotte’s memory, her family encourages everyone to follow her guiding words: "Be good, kind, generous, and smart." As per her wishes, there will be no wake or funeral.
The family extends their profound gratitude to the palliative care team, including Dr. Essak, Dr. Rys, and the nurses and support staff, for their compassionate care during her final days.
Memories and notes of condolence may be shared with the family at Allison Funeral Home.
