Julia Ann Bradley

Friday, October 23rd, 1970 - Saturday, April 12th, 2025

Julia Ann Bradley, passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on April 12th, 2025, with her beloved mother by her side. Julia was a light in the lives of all who knew her and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Julia was pre-deceased by her loving Grandfather Geophrey Curl, Beloved Uncle Wayne, and Father Dennis Bradley. She is survived by her devoted mother, Lucille Curl, her Grandmother Inez Curl, and many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins who will forever cherish her memory.

Julia will be remembered for her beautiful smile, joyful spirit, and love for life. Despite the challenges she faced, Julia enjoyed every moment with her family, whether on camping trips, road trips, or attending her favorite musical plays. She was a trailblazer, being part of the first group of Down Syndrome children integrated into the school system, where she graduated high school and attended Prom with her peers.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd, 2025, from 11:00am until the time of the Funeral Service at 12:00pm at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, 5295 Thickson Rd. N., Whitby, ON L1M 1W9. The service will be officiated by Rev. Anne Meredith.

Julia will be laid to rest at Groveside Cemetery, 5155 Baldwin St., Whitby, ON. A reception will follow the service at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home.

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Diane Terwillegar on April 8th, 2025 in her 93rd year.

Cherished wife of the late Doug for 65 years. Loving father of Heather (the late David Morin), Judy (David Brettell), and Todd (Sylvia Berlinecke).
Nana of Patrick, Philip, and Elizabeth Morin, Christopher and Tyler Brettell, Keenan and Allyson Terwillegar and Great Nana of Layla, Troy, Trent, Ellie, Ava, Zoey, and Hayes.

A private family interment will be held at Oshawa Union Cemetery. Private family arrangements have been entrusted to Barnes Memorial.

Kathryn Lee Sanchez (Toner)

January 14, 1979 - March 25, 2025

Passed away at Lakeridge Health Ajax on March 25th, 2025 at the age of 46. Kathryn was the loving wife of Miguel Sanchez and the cherished mom of Rosalie, Angel, and Anessa.

She was the much-loved daughter of Deb Toner (late Roger), and a loving sister to Kristen Toner-Trolley (Cohen) and Robyn Toner (Ryan Payne). Fondly remembered by her father-in-law Luis (late Maria), and a devoted aunt to Wyatt, Autumn, Ellis, Texas, and Preston.

Kathryn, known affectionately as Kate, will be deeply missed by all her friends and family. Her kindness, humour, and heartfelt presence touched the lives of many.

A celebration of Kate’s life will be held on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025 at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, 5295 Thickson Road North, Whitby. Visitation and greetings will begin at 12:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. A reception will follow the service.

William Henry Wallace of Whitby, Ontario, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025, surrounded by family. A devoted public servant, Bill served the Town of Whitby for over three decades, helping shape the community through leadership, compassion, and integrity.

He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend, and will be remembered fondly by extended family as well. Honoured with the Peter Perry Award in 1989, Bill leaves behind a legacy of service and love. He will be deeply missed.

Visitation will take place at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, 5295 Thickson Rd N., Whitby, on Saturday, April 12th from 12:00 Noon until the time of service in the Barnes Chapel at 1:00 p.m.

Bill will be laid to rest with his late wife, Rose Marie. The family invites all who knew him to share in remembering a life so beautifully lived and a heart so deeply loved.

Jennifer Lynne Garratt Clark

September 25, 1981 - April 2, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce that Jennifer Lynne Garratt Clark, age 43, died peacefully with family by her side.

Jen had a lot of love for her family and friends, touching many lives all over the world. She will be deeply missed. Jen was survived by her mother Lynne (Harold), siblings John (Hollie), Amanda, Aaron, Matthew and Will and nephews Owen and Kyle. She was predeceased by her father Allan and was the proud owner of her beloved dogs Walter, Felicia and Odin.

Jen's love and care for dog rescue was dear to her heart. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Paws Above Rescue (Canada) or CalPaws K9 Rescue (USA)—organizations closely tied to her family and friends.

Baerbel Schweizer

December 22, 1939 - April 4, 2025

With heavy hearts and much love, we announce the passing of Baerbel (Barbara) Schweizer on April 4, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on December 22, 1939, in Dresden, Germany, Barbara emigrated to Canada with her mother and siblings as a young adult. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Siegfried (Fred), whom she married in 1961. Together they created a beautiful and loving family.

Barbara was a cherished mother to Susan (Wayne), Michael (Nataliya), and Stephanie. She was an adored Omi to Kristy (Tyler), Andrew (Diana), Nicole (Luke), and Michelle (Mitchell), and a proud Great Omi to Max, Owen, and Bennett. Her kind heart and generous spirit touched all who knew her. She was happiest when surrounded by her family and friends, and her devotion to her grandchildren was truly inspirational.

Barbara lived life to the fullest and embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm. A dedicated sports fan and advocate of healthy living, she embodied energy, grace, and resilience. She will be deeply missed, but her love and legacy live on through those she held dear. Her family feels profoundly lucky and forever grateful to have called such a remarkable woman their Mom and Omi.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Lyndon Joachim Fernandes, who left us on March 23, 2025, at the age of 60 years. He is survived by his beloved wife Genevieve, and their children Scout (Stallone), Tyler, and Dylan. Lyndon will also be greatly missed by his siblings Glenn, Wendy, Tia, and his mother Luizinha. His family and friends will forever remember his care, attentiveness, and deep love for those around him. Lyndon always went out of his way to give his best when in the best of moods, and his warmth will be missed by all who knew him. As we bid him farewell, we ask the Lord to grant him Eternal Rest.

A viewing will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Leo The Great Catholic Church, followed by interment at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Whitby.
