It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ethel Goudreault, who left us peacefully at her residence on the afternoon of Thursday, December 12, 2024, with her daughter by her side. She was 83 years of age.
Ethel was predeceased by her partner John Kennedy and her late husband Daniel Goudreault. She was a loving mother to Edgar Yorke (Tracey), Daniel Yorke (Lori), and Donna Lalonde, and a cherished grandmother to Christina, Nicole, Eric, Tamara, Ryan, and Karsten. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Oakley, Shailey, Cashton, and Charlotte, and a dear sister to Wayne, Paul, and Francis. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Ethel was predeceased by her grandson Larry, brothers Mike and Albert, and sisters Margaret and Madeline. She was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Josephine (Counahan) Yorke.
The arrangements for Ethel have been entrusted to Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street N., Arnprior. A celebration to honor her life will take place at a later date. In memory of Ethel, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Douglas “Doug” Manwell on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital, at the age of 81. Doug was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rita Holgate, and stepdaughter, Jacqueline Michele Ethier (John Kingsbury). He leaves behind his cherished granddaughter, Chantale Ethier, and great-grandson, Robert Ethier, who were the light of his later years.
Doug is also lovingly remembered by his brothers, Boyd and Frank Manwell, and sister, Donna Manwell. He was the son of the late Russell and Leona (Weckworth) Manwell. A true craftsman at heart, Doug devoted his life to the art of home construction. His legacy stands tall in White Lake, where he meticulously built his own home, showcasing his exceptional attention to detail.
Fondly remembered by his long-time friends, Roy and his family, Doug was admired for his storytelling, his knack for fixing anything with just a few tools, and his warm and caring nature.
