Remo Viglione

1928 – December 29, 2024

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Remo Viglione, who left us peacefully at the age of 96.
Remo was a devoted husband to his beloved wife Teresina, a caring father to his daughter Gloria (married to John), and a proud father to his late son Marco.
His legacy lives on through his cherished grandchildren, Andrew, Jennifer, Kyle, and Shawna, and his great-grandchildren Lilli, Lucas, and Logan, who brought him much joy throughout his life.

Remo was a man of many talents and interests. He had an infectious sense of humor that brightened any room he entered, and he loved to bring people together, often through his unique collection of hats,
encouraging friends and family to wear them in good fun. A gifted cook, Remo’s meals were always a highlight, and he delighted in sharing them with loved ones.
He was also an avid lover of bocce, enjoyed playing his harmonica, and treasured the time spent at his cottage with family and friends.
His storytelling, especially about his hometown of Gravere, was legendary, and he had a remarkable ability to weave captivating tales that will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of hearing them.

Remo will be deeply missed, not only for his warmth and humor but for the love he shared so freely with his family and friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Antonio ‘Tony’ Gagliano

December 12, 2024

Antonio Gagliano, a man of boundless love, unshakable faith, and profound wisdom, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at the age of 89. His departure has left a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him, but his legacy of kindness and devotion will forever shine brightly.

Antonio was the cherished husband of Jesua, his soulmate and steadfast companion through life’s joys and challenges. Together, they created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and the values of family and faith. Their enduring bond was an inspiration to all who witnessed their love.

Antonio’s greatest pride and joy were his children: Meme, Joe (Edie), John (Michelle), and Janey (Sal). He nurtured them with a love that was as strong as it was tender, guiding them with wisdom and integrity. His devotion extended to his beloved grandchildren: Dimitri, Jesoua, Vanessa, Anthony, Aliya, Christian, and Gianluca, whose lives he enriched with his stories, laughter, and unwavering support.

Antonio is also survived by his dear sister, Mema, whose bond with him was unbreakable. He is now reunited in Heaven with his brother, Gaetano, whom he deeply loved and missed. Antonio’s kindness and generosity touched countless friends and neighbors, making him a beloved figure in the community.

Visitations will take place at Demarco Funeral Home (Woodbridge Chapel), 8003 Weston Road, Woodbridge, Ontario, on Sunday, December 15, 2024, from 2:00-5:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m.

The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 150 St. Francis Avenue, Woodbridge, Ontario. Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 7300 ON-27, Woodbridge, Ontario.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Apostole Efthimiou, who left us peacefully on December 11, 2024, on his 86th birthday. Born in Greece, Apostole lived a life filled with love, dedication, and resilience. He was a beloved husband to his devoted wife, Stravoula, and a cherished father to his children, Tom (Grace) and Angela. Apostole’s legacy continues through his grandchildren, Nancy and Paula, whom he adored.

Apostole was a man of great strength and warmth, who touched the hearts of all who knew him. His gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and deep love for his family and community will forever be remembered. His life was a testament to the values of hard work, kindness, and compassion.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life during visitation at Demarco Funeral Home (3725 Keele Street, Toronto, Ontario M3J 1N4) on Friday, December 13, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Sts. Constantine and Helen Church (1 Brookhaven Dr, Toronto, ON M6M 4N6) at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at York Cemetery (160 Beecroft Rd, Toronto, ON M2N 5Z5).

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Apostole’s memory, honoring his legacy of kindness and compassion.
