Lois Ruth Love

Passed Away on December 11, 2024

Lois Love of Waterloo passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s General Hospital, Kitchener, on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at the age of 73.

Cherished sister of Linda and Bob Johns. Proud and loving aunt of Scott and Melinda (and their children Peyton, Noah, and Hailey), Steven and Robyn, and Lauren and Stephen. Fondly remembered by her aunt Marjorie Campbell and many cousins and friends. Lois was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Ruth (Kiteley) Love.

Lois worked for many years at the Waterloo County Board of Education, where she began as an Administrative Assistant and retired as a Project Manager. She will be remembered for her dedication, kindness, and the love she shared with her family and friends.

A private family memorial service will be held at Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel, with interment at Fairview Cemetery.

Donations in Lois’s memory may be made to Breathe – Lung Association.

At Listowel Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, October 30th, 2024, Doreen (Hutchison) Nuhn of Listowel passed away peacefully at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Ross Nuhn, who predeceased her in 1995. Loving mother of Brian & Judy Nuhn, Dennis & Laurie Nuhn, and Bill & Yumi Nuhn. Mother-in-law of Dave Button.

She was a cherished grandmother to Jordan & Amber Nuhn, Lindsay Nuhn, David Nuhn & Emily Bell, Kris Nuhn, Sarah Nuhn & Todd Smith, Hilary & Rikki Huddleston, Kenji Nuhn & Emily Set, James Nuhn, and Thomas Nuhn. Treasured great-grandmother of Dylan, Forrest, Heath, Meadow, Adeline, and Mackenzie.

Doreen is predeceased by her daughter Cheryl Nuhn (2017) and her partner Earl “Hop” Hawthorne. She will also be lovingly remembered by Earl’s family, Laurie & Bruce Laur and their children Coval, Hayley, and Falon, as well as Gary Hawthorne.

Visitation will be held at Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel, on Friday, November 1st, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A private funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, November 2nd, 2024, with interment following at Fairview Cemetery, Listowel, Ontario.

Memorial donations to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Listowel, or the Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.

Beverley Lloyd ‘Bud’ Jones
Monday, October 14th, 2024

Beverley Lloyd ‘Bud’ Jones of Listowel passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024, in his 89th year.

He was the beloved husband of Shirley (Gabel) Jones and the cherished father of Bryan Jones of Palmerston, Cindy Jones & Tim Allen of London, Shari Jones of Oakville, and Brent Jones & Karen Oates of Timberlea, N.S. Bud was a proud grandfather to Blake, Mary, and Sarah. He will also be lovingly remembered by his sister Marlene Long of Kitchener, and sisters-in-law Doreen McKertcher of Listowel, and Marjorie Homer of Woodstock.

A private family funeral service will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel, on Monday, October 21, 2024, followed by interment at Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.

Memorial donations to the Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation or the Fordwich Village Nursing Home Residents’ Council would be appreciated by the family.
