Grant Hunter passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday, October 10, 2024, in his 81st year. Beloved husband of June (nee Dovell), Grant was a loving father to Cory (Jenna) and a proud Papa to Alex. He will also be lovingly remembered by his brother Edward (Karen), nephews Christopher (Corinne) and Jonathan (Allison), and great-niece Kaitlyn as well as great-nephews Oliver and Elliot.

Grant spent nearly 50 years working in the Canadian lumber industry after completing his education in the United States. An avid sportsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and watching his grandson play baseball. Known for his easygoing and steady nature, Grant was a favourite among friends, always quick with a smile and a laugh.

In keeping with Grant’s wishes, a private celebration of life will be held by his family. Donations in his memory may be made to the Hudson Regional Cancer Program (Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie), and would be greatly appreciated.
