Robert Paul Parkinson, in his 79th year, passed away on November 22, 2024, at his cottage (his happy place) with his wife by his side. Paul was born on January 10, 1946, in Guelph, Ontario. He was an only child to Eileen Bradley Parkinson and a much-loved nephew of Edwin and Hazel Hoare of Oshawa, ON. He was married to Lois Adam of Chapeau, QC for 52 wonderful years.
Paul is survived by his wife, Lois Adam Parkinson, his children Jeffrey Parkinson (Sara), Christopher Parkinson (Sara), and Anne-Marie Holt (Adam), his grandchildren Olivia Parkinson, Claire Holt, Abigayle Parkinson, and Elliot Holt, as well as his many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
As a younger man, Paul was an avid fast-ball player. He enjoyed time on the river fishing, hunting, and golfing—a passion he lovingly passed on to his children and grandchildren. For an only child, he was truly blessed to find his life partner and an extended family. Close friends will fondly remember traveling with Paul to France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, and Prince Edward County. His life was full and rich with love and adventure.
