Jack Holland
September 16, 1946 - October 29, 2024

Jack passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre at the age of 78. Beloved husband of 51 years to Mary Eileen (nee Towns). Father of Will (Joselyn), Jane Fitzgerald (Kevin), Pat (Celeste), and Greg (Lauren). Grandfather of Alex, Patrick, Rose, Mary, Kate, and Tom. Brother of Nora Sweeney (Paul), Cathy Holland, and Jim Holland. Brother-in-law of Pat Towns (Ruth) and Mike Towns (Rosemary). Predeceased by his parents John and Mary (nee Leahy) Holland.

Jack spent his life working as a farmer in Douro. He was passionate about his family, community, and church, generous with his time, and always enjoyed a good story and a good laugh.

Special thanks to Dr. Kloppenburg, Dr. Blake, and the Palliative Care team at PRHC for the compassionate care provided to Jack.

Visitation will be held at the Highland Park Funeral Centre, 2510 Bensfort Road, on Friday, November 1st, 2024, from 5:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M., with Parish Prayers beginning at 4:45 P.M. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, Douro, on Saturday, November 2nd, 2024, at 11:00 A.M., followed by a light luncheon in the Parish Hall. Private burial at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In memory of Jack, donations to PRHC Palliative Care or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
