Alfonso Al Francesco Ruggero

October 15, 1955 - January 9, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alfonso Francesco Ruggero at the age of 69 in Richmond Hill surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on October 15, 1955, in Toronto to Frank and Rosa Ruggero (nee Leggieri). Beloved husband of Sue Ruggero (nee Melbourne). Devoted and loving father of Geoff (Candice). Proud Nonno to Rachael and Sydney. Brother to Margaret (Vince) and Mary.

A dedicated husband and father, Alfonso poured his heart into his family, offering unconditional love and unwavering support. He was the pillar of strength for his son, granddaughters, and extended family. Alfonso will be sadly missed and held dear in the hearts of his many extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, Thornhill, on Sunday, January 12, 2025, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025, at 9:00 AM in the Chapel of St. Joseph, followed by entombment at Holy Family Mausoleum, Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.

Clemente Tucciarone

December 8, 1933 – January 9, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the passing of Clemente Tucciarone on January 9, 2025, at the age of 91. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather who touched the lives of many.

Visitation will take place at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home in Thornhill on January 13, 2025. A Funeral Mass will follow on January 14 at the Chapel of St. Joseph.

Donations in Clemente’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.

Giuseppe Petronaci

March 30, 1949 – December 27, 2024

God called Giuseppe “Joe” Petronaci peacefully on December 27, 2024, at the age of 75. He will be forever missed by his loving wife, Grace. Cherished by his dear children Anthony (Nina), Joselle, and Jennifer (Billy). Proud nonno to Joseph, Orazio, Liam, and Noah. He will be held dear in the hearts of his family, relatives, and many friends.

Visitation will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, 211 Langstaff Road East, Thornhill, Ontario, on Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, and Friday, January 3, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

A Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 9:00 AM in the Chapel of St. Joseph at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 8361 Yonge Street, Thornhill, Ontario.

Roberto Di Giovanni

August 4, 1973 – December 27, 2024

God called Roberto Di Giovanni peacefully on December 27, 2024, at the age of 51. He will be forever missed by his loving wife, Nataliya, and cherished by his dear son, Santino. Adored son of Sandy, Roberto will always be remembered by his siblings Sonia and Alessandro, sister-in-law Faezeh, and by his niece Sofia and nephew Valentino. He is now reunited in Heaven with his mother, Lucia.

Roberto will be held dear in the hearts of his family, relatives, and many friends.

Louis Joseph Longo

March 11, 1936 - December 25, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Louis Joseph Longo on December 25, 2024, at the age of 88 years. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 46 years, Sally Anne, Louis was a dedicated father to Andrea (Denis), Nancy (Gerry), and Anthony (Jennifer), and a proud “Grandpa Louie” to Emily Rose (Jared), Olivia, and Sophia.

Cherished brother of Theresa Duncan, Susan Cimicata, Yolanda Russo (Felix), Peter Longo, and the late Dolores Longo. Much-loved brother-in-law of the late Robert Dove (Colleen), Paul Dove, and Bradley Dove (Mary Lou). Lou will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Lou enjoyed a long and successful career in the menswear business. He started out at Tip Top Tailors as a young man, where he quickly advanced to management. Lou achieved his dream of owning his own store when he purchased Maxwell’s Men’s Shop, where he worked for over 35 years until his retirement. Lou loved his family and his job and approached all situations with dignity, kindness, compassion, and generosity.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, 211 Langstaff Road East, Thornhill, Ontario, L3T 3Z6. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of St. Joseph at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery – Holy Family Mausoleum. A reception lunch will take place following the entombment.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all those who helped care for Lou in his last days, including the staff at Nurse Next Door Homecare Services, Mountainview Retirement Residence, Georgetown Hospital, and Carpenter Hospice. Your thoughts and kindness are truly appreciated during this time of sorrow.

Salvatore Macri

January 8, 1934 - December 26, 2024

It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss that we announce the peaceful passing of Salvatore Macri on December 26, 2024, at Norfinch Community Care at the age of 90. Reunited with his beloved wife Maria Rosa (née Piccolo) and dear son Giuseppe, Salvatore was a loving father to Nick (Bernadette) and a proud Nonno to Julianna, Anthony, and Christian. He will be sadly missed and held dear in the hearts of his extended family and friends. Salvatore will be lovingly remembered and never forgotten.
