In loving memory of Henry Wolski, who passed away at The Ottawa Hospital on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at the age of 68. Henry lived a life full of adventure and stories, describing himself as having lived “twenty lifetimes” during his years. From boar hunting in Russian forests to traveling to 96 countries while working as an engineer in Russia and Kazakhstan for 23 years, Henry was fearless and charismatic.
He cherished his time spent with friends and family, especially in Sudbury, where he returned with his beloved wife, Lenushka. Henry loved the lakes and fishing, which were closest to his heart. He is survived by his “best daughter” Katya, eight nieces and nephews, a great-nephew and great-niece, his brother Ed, and his sister Genevieve.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the outstanding medical and support staff at The Ottawa Hospital and Health Sciences North in Sudbury for their exceptional care and compassion.
Funeral Service: A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter and Paul Serbian Orthodox Church, 515 Antwerp Ave, Sudbury. Friends may gather at the church after 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Interment will follow at Civic Cemetery on Second Avenue.
