Stephen Keresturi

1935 – December 17, 2024

Stephen Keresturi passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, in his 89th year. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Valerie Keresturi, his son Stephen, daughter Linda (Kelly), daughter Nancy, son Tom (Angie), and his five cherished grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place, and there will be no visitation or service, respecting Stephen’s wishes. Arrangements have been entrusted to Keith Ovington Funeral Home, Burford, Ontario.

Paul James Vermeulen

May 14, 1968 – November 25, 2024

Paul James Vermeulen passed away peacefully on November 25, 2024, surrounded by his loving family in Rochester Hills, Michigan, in his 57th year. Born on May 14, 1968, in Brantford, Ontario, Paul is survived by his devoted parents, John and Doreen Vermeulen, his brother David (Anita), and many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Paul spent his early years with his family in Des Moines, Iowa, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, before moving to Rochester Hills as a young teenager. He was passionate about sports, with his Rochester High School golf team winning the state championship in 1986. He was also a lifelong fan of the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Tigers.

From the age of 24, Paul battled and survived a rare type of brain tumour, yet he lived a full and active life. He graduated from Hope College and later earned a Master’s of Business Administration from Oakland University. Paul greatly cherished the many family and friend gatherings over the years and maintained close and meaningful relationships with all who knew him.

A private family Celebration of Paul’s Life will be held in the spring, with interment at Pioneer Cemetery, Burford, Ontario.

1956 - October 21, 2024

Peacefully, on a bright fall day and surrounded by the love of his family, Ronald H. Bonnett passed away at Stedman Hospice, Brantford, on Monday, October 21, 2024, at the age of 68. Ron, of Scotland, Ontario, was the beloved husband of Evelyn (née Van Sickle) for 45 wonderful years. He was the loving father of Jennifer (Jeremy) Austin and Bryan (Emily) Bonnett, and a cherished Papa to Samantha Austin (Alex Wuehr), Tyler Austin (Jenna Sayer), Monty, Calla, Shep, and Acacia.

Predeceased by his parents, Harold and Nora, Ron will be sadly missed by his many extended family members, friends, and especially by his lifetime friend, Gerald Allard.

A private family service will be held at Keith Ovington Funeral Home, 134 King Street, Burford. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron’s memory may be made to Stedman Hospice or the SPCA.
