It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Annabelle Ball (née Lee) on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Douglas Crossing Retirement Home, peacefully with her family by her side.
Annabelle was born in Greenbank, Ontario, on July 23, 1933, to the late Frank and Laura Lee (née Thomas). She was the beloved wife of the late Alan Ball for 63 years, a devoted mother to David (LeeAnn), and a cherished grandmother to Dawson and Chandler. She was predeceased by her brother Murray and sister-in-law Shirley Lee. She is survived by her brother George (Isabelle) and sister Beatrice (late Ted Murphy). Annabelle was also a loving sister-in-law to the late James Ball (Eleanor) and Elsie Werry (late Ron Werry). She will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Raised on the family farm in Greenbank, Annabelle pursued her passion for teaching at teachers' college. She taught for several years in Toronto at Victoria Park before dedicating herself to her family and later resuming her career at Scott Central Public School.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at Douglas Crossing for their compassionate care, especially Maddy, whose support over the past two years has been deeply appreciated.
A Funeral Service will be held at Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street South, Uxbridge (905-852-3073), on Monday, March 10, 2025, at 2 p.m. with visitation at 1 p.m. A reception will follow immediately after the service.

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of our adored and beloved Valerie. She will be forever missed by her loving husband, Tom, and cherished by her children Michael (Bonnie-deceased), Richard (Susan), and Julia. Loving grandmother to Kyle (Miranda), Sean (Lydia), Jennifer (Jim), Lisa (Marvin), Aidan, and Shannon. Proud great-grandmother to Eliot, Alexander, George, Jamison, Joseph, and Rose.
Valerie will be lovingly remembered by her brother David, sister-in-law Margaret, nephews Kevin and Barry, niece Kirsty, as well as family and friends in England and Ireland.
Born on February 14, 1940, in Sligo, Republic of Ireland, Valerie spent much of her childhood in and around Dun Laoghaire. After attending schools in England and Ireland, she worked for Barclays Bank. She met Tom at a rugby club dance in Ashford, Kent, and they married on September 6, 1966. In the late sixties, they moved to Canada and eventually settled in West Hill, Scarborough, where they raised their three children.
Valerie was a devoted wife and mother who loved spending time with family and friends, reading, playing bridge, working on the Globe and Mail cryptic crossword, and playing tennis at the local club in her younger years. In 2001, she and Tom retired to Uxbridge, a town they came to love, often stopping there on their way to their cottage on Gull Lake. Valerie adored their home and garden in Quaker Village and enjoyed walks in the neighborhood. She was also involved with the Lucy Maud Montgomery Society, helping to organize and host charitable events. Valerie and Tom shared many travel adventures, exploring South America, Asia, and Europe.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Stacey, Maddy, Nicole, Molly, and the staff at Douglas Crossing for their compassionate care over the past year.

A private family service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025. A celebration of Valerie’s life will be announced at a later date.

Passed away peacefully at Soldier’s Memorial Hospital, Orillia on Monday, March 3, 2025, at the age of 88 years. Husband of the late Esmeralda (nee Mosca). Lovingly remembered by his son Jack (Amelia), grandchildren Sonja (Eric) and Anthony (Jenn), and by extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at Low & Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street South, Uxbridge, on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 3:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM. Interment to take place at Foster Memorial Cemetery in the spring of 2025.

Sam is loved and remembered by his mother, Karen Mohammed-Stirling; his father, Daniel Stirling (his wife Pina); and his brother, Tim Stirling. He is also remembered by his grandparents, Joe and Dorothy Stirling, as well as his uncle, aunts, and cousins.
Sam loved laughing, listening to music, and having a great time with his friends and family. He had a bright smile that could light up a room and was full of energy. He will always be remembered for his helpful and caring nature.

Michael "Mick" McGuire Obituary
With great sadness, we announce that Michael (Mick) Andrew McGuire passed away in his 71st year on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, with his wife Pat, stepson Jeff, and brother John at his side.
Mike was a loving husband to Pat, stepfather to Jeff and daughter-in-law Ashley, and a cherished grandfather to Sophia, Audrey, and Mason, with whom he treasured his time. He was also a beloved brother-in-law to David and Stuart (Valerie) Findlay and a caring uncle to David (Rosie) and George. Mike is now reunited with his fur-pals Barney, Teddy, and Charlie.
Born in Oshawa, Mike was predeceased by his parents, Francis Patrick (Mickey) and Bernadette Mary (née Foley), as well as his brother Peter. One of six siblings, he is survived by Susan Dulny (Jim, deceased), John (Maureen), Mary-Frances (Stephen), and his twin sister Maureen (Bernie, deceased). Michael also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family members in both Canada and the UK.
Along with his siblings, Mike worked tirelessly at the family shoe store, Mickey McGuire Shoes in Ajax, playing a vital role in its success. He was also a devoted caregiver to his parents in their later years, showing unwavering love, kindness, and generosity.
Michael had a long and respected career as a chief custodian with the Durham Catholic School Board, known for his strong work ethic and kindness. He enjoyed traveling with Pat—including their recent trip to England—watching sports, reading The Economist, and spending time with family.
Mike was known for his quick wit, beautiful smile, and the deep pride he had in his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who offered kindness and support in the past few months as his health declined.

Aileen loved all things natural, and her farm brought her some of her greatest joy. Right up to her 95th year, she could be found walking the trails, enjoying the quietness, and trying to beat the time on her last walk! Aileen will be remembered for her willingness to love, her kindness, and her pioneering spirit.
A celebration of Aileen’s life will be held in the spring. Interment at Greenbank Cemetery.
