Betty Price
November 15, 1938 - October 20, 2024

Betty Price passed away peacefully at the Queensway-Carleton Hospital in Ottawa on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at the age of 85. Betty (née Becksted), formerly of Winchester and residing in Kemptville, was the beloved wife of the late Gary Price. Loving mother of Kelly Price and Hal Price (Vicki). Dear sister of Myrna Whelan. Betty will be fondly remembered by her grandson Ayden and cherished family friends Tanya, Kyle, and Ava Holmes. She was predeceased by her parents Weldon and Gladys Becksted (née O’Shaughnessy), her sisters Muriel McIntosh and Donna Becksted, and her brother John Becksted. Betty is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A public graveside service will take place at Spruce Haven Cemetery in Brinston on Saturday, October 26th at 11 a.m. Donations to the Kidney Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged by the family. If donating online or by cheque, please include a note saying, "please notify the family." Online condolences may be made at Marsden McLaughlin Funeral Home.

March 5, 1927 - October 11, 2024

Nora Marie Atkinson, at the age of 97, passed peacefully to meet her Lord on October 11, 2024, at the Bruyère – Saint-Vincent Hospital in Ottawa. Nora was predeceased by her husband, Rev. Mansell Atkinson (1998), and her daughter, Brenda (2015). She is survived by her son, William Atkinson (Anne), and her grandchildren, Elizabeth Thangaraj (Arun) and Rev. Stephen Atkinson (Cynthia). Nora was blessed with five great-grandchildren: Isaac, Ellie, Rachel, Noah, and Eva.

Formerly of Winchester, Nora spent her final years at the Garden Villa Retirement Home in Chesterville, where she received excellent and compassionate care. A pastor's wife for most of her life, Nora will be fondly remembered for her faith and dedication to her family and community.

Friends may call at the Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home in Williamsburg on Monday, October 21, 2024, at 10:00 AM for visitation, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Chesterville. Donations in Nora’s memory to Winchester Hospital would be appreciated.
